MoCCA this weekend!

MoCCA Fest is a fundraiser for the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art and is happening this Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29 from 11 am to 6 pm at the Lexington Ave Armory (68 Lexington Ave between 25th and 26th St, New York, NY). I'll be at table H7 both days. Stop on by, say hello and buy some comics! There will be a TON of great artists there as well as some neat comic and animation panels and workshops. This Thursday, April 26th, is the last day to pre-order your tickets at a discounted price.

So what will you find at table H7? I'm glad you asked! Hot off the press for you cat lovers, there is a NEW issue of Counter Attack (#5!) I will also have CA issues 3, 4 and a VERY limited number of issue 2. Issue #1 is still online for free, you can check it out here.

Because I've been focusing on Cooking Up Comics for the past year, there's not a new Urban Nomad yet, but I still have issues 1 through 3.

If you're a fan of New York's musical past, check out my mini zine Rock On! It chronicles some of my favorite closed NYC venues and the bands I saw at them.

I will also have these sweet Cooking Up Comics magnets for sale. And some promotional bookmarks that are FREE. Remember those Darjeeling Limited Illos I did a while back? Get a mini card illo FREE with any purchase.

An additional limited bonus: Less than 5 copies of the late Friends' of Lulu publication The Girls' Guide to Guys' Stuff! A kind reader sent me a few unsold issues of this out of print anthology. Contains loads of female talent that now have their own books! See their work before they were widely published!

The Girls' Guide to Guys' Stuff

Last, but certainly not least, I will have a few prints of Conan the Librarian.

I will also be at my favorite pre-MoCCA event on Friday evening: Drink and Draw Like a Lady! If you are a woman who reads, draws, writes or edits comics, this event is for you! There is also an after party which welcomes the comic dudes as well. See the link for more info.

(The poster art this year was done by Raina Telgemeier!)

Hope to see you at MoCCA this weekend!
